Broccoli and Cauliflower Cheese Bake
Posted by Administrator on January 17th, 2009. Filed under: Vegetarian, Wheat and Gluten Free.It is the third day without any meat or fish for me, and it’s strange, but I am not feeling any better. Hopefully all of this “energy” vegetarians speak of will kick in later. Last night I made a Quorn fajita with a really nice chili sour cream sauce. It was so good I thought I would somehow incorporate it in this recipe.
1 cup of sour cream
chili powder
250 grams of cheddar cheese
250 grams of red Leicester cheese
1 ball of mozzarella cheese
1 crown of broccoli
1 crown of cauliflower
Preheat oven to 190°Celsius(360°Fahrenheit)
Chop the cauliflower and broccoli into floret sized pieces and set aside.
In a saucepan melt the cheeses along with the sour cream.
When the mixture comes to a boil add in some chili powder to taste. (I usually add quite a bit).
Take the broccoli and cauliflower pieces and place in a casserole dish.
Pour the spicy cheese sauce over the broccoli and cauliflower and set aside for 30 minutes.
Once it has set place in the oven for 35 minutes.
It will come out of the oven crispy and oozing with flavor.
